The weekends allow the students more time to explore London and the surrounding areas. Looking and experiencing a great city with so much art, culture, and history. Added bonus this year that Pokemon Go is available to play at the same time.
Some students went to Oxford, the British Library which contains the Magna Carta, Lindisfarne Gospels, and Leonardo da Vinci’s Notebook among many many many other things, Westminster to see Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. The weather was very cooperative and the sights were amazing.
wikipedia states about Oxford: The city is known worldwide as the home of the University of Oxford (1249 CE/AD), the oldest university in the English-speaking world. Buildings in Oxford demonstrate notable examples of every English architectural period since the late Saxon period. Oxford is known as the “city of dreaming spires”, a term coined by poet Matthew Arnold.
Tomorrow it is back to work and the final race to the finish.
